Mexico Pics!!!!!

Finally.

So, this is the penthouse. It's a pool and dining area on the top of the building. I felt like Batman. xD

Then we get back down to practice after our amazing meal. The dude in red is Maurice Sklar, the violinist.

The Auditorio Nacional. It was HUMONGOUS. I just sat there in shock until ... well ... I had to go do something. :P It didn't seem as big as I had thought though....it was kind of cozy. 

Then, it's....FESTIVAL TIME!!!! This is me and my new friend Esly who was doing the processional for Zealous over Zion with me. 

This is Oksana dancing one of her dance. She has so much energy, it's insane. The song seems to go on forever. :) And this is during the dress rehearsal, not the actual show(s). If it were during the actual festival I'd  be on stage left, helping the other dancers with a quick change.

I SAW THE AVENGERS!!!!! AT LAST!!!!! IT WAS THE MOST AWESOME THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE AND I WANT TO WATCH IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!!!! I'VE ALREADY SEEN IT LIKE FOUR TIMES AND I TOTALLY WANT IT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!! WITH A BUNCH OF BONUS FEATURES!!!!!! AND BLOOPERS!!!!!

Hey, have you guys seen Gravity Falls? It's this new TV show on Disney Channel about these two kids - Mabel and Dipper - who are spending the summer with their Great Grandpa Stan in Gravity Falls, Oregon. Apparently the place is magical with mystical creatures. I've only seen one episode, but it seems pretty awesome.

The 39 Clues Movie

Just to start off, I will hopefully post  the rest of my Mexico pictures once I find out which computer they're on.

But, for now, I wanted to post what I found out from my research about the 39 clues movie.

Well. It's due to release in 2014, maybe 2015, but most likely 2014. It'll be directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) and produced by Steven Spielberg and Deborah Forte from DreamWorks. It was said that Brett Ratner would direct, but I'm pretty sure Shawn Levy replaced him.

Jeff Nathanson is the main script writer, and I believe, Grace, that the script is already written. I have no idea when casting is. As far as I know, they haven't done anything with casting yet.

It's said that Steven Spielberg will start production on The 39 Clues: The Movie after he is finished making The Adventures of Tintin and Lincoln. He's finished Tintin and he's working on Lincoln now, so I guess we're getting closer.

Also, I think (not sure though) that the movie is about the first two books. I could be wrong though. Google isn't that reliable. All this stuff came from imdb and other movie blogs.

On a sidenote, Eoin Colfer says that Artemis Fowl is going to be turned into a movie.....the script is already written, he says,  but everything else isn't said yet.

Mexico Update!

Prepare for a lot of pictures.

Well, I'm not back yet. I've got about four or five days left. But, thank goodness, I have wifi, so I can communicate with you all. (:

Driving around the city

In Mexico City, kidnapping is an industry - a business people are in. Taxi drivers and even police officers are in on the kidnapping. So, if you ever go to Mexico City, NEVER get in a taxi. Ever. Just so you know. (:

The houses are soooo colorful. The city is rundown, but in a very pretty way. Random houses are painted neon colors. It's so beautiful. :) The only problem is the graffiti - there's a ton of it!

Next, the Mexican church we performed at. It was huge! Hundreds of people were there. It was awesome. :)

People of all ages - even grown men - would get up and begin to freestyle in the aisles. It was so inspiring - their worship was so sincere!

One of the many security guards hanging around. We had (and have) to be escorted everywhere --- even to the bathroom! It was crazy, but crazy good. :)

Fast forward a day or two. We went to a Spanish church who had decided to celebrate Mexican Independence Day (Sept. 15th) a little early so we could partake in the festivities. It was amazing. There were mariachis (Mexican bands), pinatas (how cool is that?) and amazingly yummy and weird tasting foods - like, for instance, I tried a candy apple that had a yummy looking coating. So I tried it - it tasted like a mix of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy flavors. It was so strange to be bombarded with all the tastes. I didn't like it very much. Though I can say that I swallowed it - Mom just spat it out onto a napkin. ;)

But my favorite part of the day was meeting two little Mexican girls and playing with them. It was one of the best moments of my life. My only frustration is that I didn't know enough Spanish to have a conversation with them - thankfully one of my friends, Elisabeth, knows enough Spanish to translate, but still it was an AMAZING time. The picture below is of me and the two little girls (the one on the right is Isabella but I forget the first one's name) swishing our skirts and "dancing" to the mariachi music. It was so awesome. A bunch of people were filming it with their cameras, and one of the little girls said afterwards:

"Look what we've got! Paparazzi!" ;)

So, that's all. I know it's Wednesday (right? My sense of time and day is messed up), but I won't be doing WWW because I'm tired of posting pictures. But I'll post one more that I think represents my idea of writing perfectly and it became on of my favorite pictures ever:

Two in a row! Cool.

You guessed it --- today's topic is traveling.

Because I'm leaving for Mexico in two days.

TWO DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm freaking out right now. 

So, here's the plan: leave at 4:00 Saturday morning (yikes!) and get on a plane to North Carolina (I think). Then, once in NC, we'll take the plane to Mexico City.

I'm taking my cell phone and Mom's taking her laptop, so you can text me, Facebook me, and Skype me if you want! 

Please pray that I don't forget anything when I pack (yes, I'm still not packed yet) and that I won't get sick from eating any of the food down there. :) And pray that everything goes well!

Apps :P

Okay, so Mexico is only one week and three days away!!!!! AHHHH!!!!! So excited :)

We have to do a lot of preparation for it .... Mom and I are having to do cardio exercises like jogging and running around the block so we don't get altitude sickness when we go down there. And then there's the shots ... luckily, I had all mine, but Mom had to get four. :( And then there's all the dance practice, and the fear that you'll get sick from food or water poisoning, stuff like that.

One cool thing about it is that you have to be careful and watch out for pick-pockets. That doesn't sound cool at first, but Mom and I are wearing these secret pouches that we'll hide our money and stuff in --- it makes me feel like Dan and Amy from the 39 Clues. :P

But, anyway, it's going to be a long plane ride. Since I doubt I could read the entire time (we have limited luggage space, and if I read all my books on the plane ....) I decided that I was going to stock up on fun apps for my NOOK before I go.

Two really fun apps I bought today are Cut the Rope and Plants vs. Zombies. Plants vs. Zombies sounds really, really gross, but it's actually really fun and addicting. The idea is, you're supposed to defend your house from brain-eating zombies, and you have a bunch of different plants in your arsenal to use against them. There's wall-nuts (you can guess what they do), peashooters, sunflowers, fume-shrooms, and a whole lot more. It's EXTREMELY addicting .... I'm having trouble saving the game for the plane --- I want to finish it all now! :) What I like about this game, too, is that my brothers can play it without bugging me, asking to play it on my nook. They can play it online, at popcap.com.

But, back to Cut the Rope. I like that game because of Om Nom, the little creature who loves candy. He's so adorable!!! That's pretty much why I play the game anyway. :) Here's some videos I found about Om Nom coming into the world (it's so cute...)
