Adventures in Odyssey (Oh. My. Goodness.)

As stated on #35 of my Bucket List, I want to be in an animated movie or voice a character or something. You know what I mean.

Well, here's my chance! And yours too if you want!!!

Adventures in Odyssey is having a contest held around the globe at Christian retailers like Family Christian Bookstore and Christian Book Distributors (CBD). They are looking for someone to play a new character and they are having auditions on July 1 and July 14 at Christian retailers everywhere. Kids ages 6-15 can try out, and the scripts are posted online (whitsend.org/podcast).

Isn't that exciting? I'm not particularly interested in Adventures in Odyssey but I'm hoping to audition anyway. ;) Here's their podcast that they had answering lots of questions. They show the theme song for the auditions, they have FAQs, and they discuss it.

Couldn't get the YouTube video to upload normally, sorry.

Oh, and when you go to the place where they have the scripts and you get this screen that says Account Suspended, that's because a whole bunch of people are getting on the site.

Do you plan to audition? Do you want to? :)

Commercials, Shakespeare, and the Weather

Yeah. Weird title. I know.

Let's start with commercials, shall we? The first one is for DirecTV and the last two are Star Wars (one for Disneyland and another for Volkswagen). They are funny, don't you think?

Next is Shakespeare.

Now, I love to act very, very much. ♥ I think it's cool to slip into someone else's shoes for a while. At my school we pick scenes from a Shakespeare play and we perform them in a competition. This year my three friends and I are doing a scene from Love's Labour's Lost. I am a lady-in-waiting named Katharine.

Anyway, the performances begin tomorrow - dress rehearsal on Thursday, actual competition on Friday, award ceremony on Saturday.

So, you're probably wondering ... why did I mention the weather? Well, for school we have to do this weather chart thing, so I've been monitoring the weather for the past week, almost two weeks. Have you noticed how warm it is lately? Isn't it insane? It's been warmer than usual with the temperature sometimes spiking to 60 degrees. So far it's done that three times in the past two weeks, but normally the temperature's stayed around the 40s and the 50s.

Since when has this been winter? If I didn't know better I'd think it was April!
