Challenge!

Yay for challenges! Thanks to Maddie I'm going to start the top 10 challenge. Sounds like fun :D

Day 1 - 10 facts about me (you'll probably know all these but anyway)

1. I love movies.

2. I've never gotten stung by a bee ever.

3. Ice cream is my favorite dessert.

4. Pizza and Mexican food are awesome.

5. I normally read at least 100 books per year (including rereads). Now, I haven't actually counted, but I've averaged. So, give or take a few. :)

6. I tend to dream....a lot. And not when I'm sleeping, either. :) It gets me in trouble sometimes.

7. I talk to, yell at, and apologize to inanimate objects. (Yes, apologize. Like saying sorry to the wall after you run into it.)

8. I think I'm a ninja and sometimes that gets me into trouble. :) I'm sure you can imagine what happens.

9. I'm half tomboy, half girly girl. Well, not that girly.

10. I can't wear high heels. Shoes that have even just a bit of a lift make me fall. :)

Hero Factory

I found this website that makes you into a superhero. :) Here's my picture!

Thanks to PicMonkey, I changed my name. They had me as "Damp Water Monster" or something. :)

Adventures in Odyssey are allowing people to upload auditions now! :D I found out two things, though. One, you have to video record yourself, not just record your voice like I thought. And two, I *think* you have to read both scripts. I think. Not sure, though.

Anyway, I'm going to practice all day today, and film tomorrow. We'll see if that works. :D

Oh, one more thing. POTTERMORE PEOPLE! I got a new account :) PixieAsphodel7587. I like that name much better than ErisedCastle5453. You might be asking yourself why I got a new account. Well, it's because I wanted to make sure that I was a Gryffindor. :) (I still am, by the way). My wand's the same, too, except it changed cores, from dragon to PHOENIX! (Yay) <3

And did you know that the Pottermore House Cup will be awarded soon.....around September, I think, but it could be earlier. :D

Wednesday's Words of Wisdom

I'm starting this thing called Wednesday's Words of Wisdom, where every Wednesday I'll post a quote (in picture form or word form). I might post multiple quotes, depending on how much time I have, and I might be a few days late. But I will try to post it.

Bedford, Virginia

I am leaving tomorrow for Bedford, VA to do some dance stuff with the Messiah Company. Craziness. I thought we were leaving in like, three days, then I find out that we're leaving tomorrow...

I also have passport pictures being taken today. :) I'm kind of freaked out about it...the passport people said about a million times, "DON'T MESS UP YOUR PASSPORT FORM. OR ELSE."

I saw this awesome picture yesterday. And I realized, it's true, I do live my life like this. :)

the black widow is awesome

I still haven't seen the Avengers yet (I have to wait until its on DVD....boo hoo!) but I did see Iron Man, finally. It was good -- I saw it on Clearplay, so I can't say much about the bad parts -- but there was swearing and a lot of weird flirting on Stark's part.

But, back to the Avengers. I saw this clip on Facebook of the Black Widow (I liked a whole bunch of superhero pages ;D) and I thought it was so awesome, that I had to post it here.

She's fighting like five guys with a chair. With a chair, people.

I love the face of the guy who's calling while he's on hold!!! Hilarious!!! (Urgh I'm going to die from waiting!!!!)

Anyway, I'm SOOO excited for Brave, which comes out on June 22. I want to go see it on opening night!!!

Music Inspired by the Story

There's a CD called Music Inspired by the Story, and it's a bunch of artists singing the Bible, basically. Natalie Grant's song Alive (Mary Magdalene) came from this CD and the entire CD is really, really awesome. I'll only post a few songs, but pretty much the entire disc is really, really cool.

That one is just music, but it's really neat if you get past the initial blankness.

The pictures/scenes are from an Esther movie called One Night with the King. It was good.

This one's really awesome.....I mean, put yourself in Mary's shoes. She's pregnant outside of marriage, only like thirteen or fourteen (she was young, the Bible says....so that's an estimate), and everyone thinks that she's .... you know. Kudos to Joseph, I say.....he still respected Mary and wanted to divorce her privately so not to shame her publicly. And he had to have a lot of faith to believe that angel......

Movie Review: Captain America

One word: LOVE.

Skinny, bullied Steve Rogers has tried everything to get into the army, even lying on his entry form. He wants desperately to fight against the Nazis. (This is 1942, by the way.) A scientist from the Allies sees potential and offers him a place in the army, where Steve is tested and proven the only one who can take on a deadly experiment that will create a breed of supersoldiers.

Captain America values courage, loyalty, and self-sacrifice. As stated by the scientist (I forget his name), "No matter what happens, stay a good man." And Cap certainly does.

This is the Red Skull (aka Johannes Schmidt), the head of Hydra, a bad guy organization. :) He is where I will start with my bad points.

First off, there's a lot of swearing, like in Thor. Then, there's a lot of violence. That's expected, but still. Like, for instance, about halfway through the movie, the Red Skull rips his face off. Like, he was wearing a mask thing that made him look human, and then he tears it off. It's creepy.

This is Agent Carter. She is awesome. She and Cap have some sweet romance going on between them, and it's really cute. Not bad at all. She's very pretty. :)

Three out of five stars! It was awesome! Watch it!
