Christmas Spirit

Wow. I haven't posted in a while. Sorry, guys. :-)

Problem is, I just couldn't think of anything to post about. It's been bad. Blogger's block. (Hey, that's actually not as stupid as I thought it would be.)

*hem hem*

Anyway.

Christmas is finally getting CLOSER.......YAY!!!! Yet, for some stupid reason, I can't seem to get into the Christmas spirit. Now, I know that Christmas is all about Jesus, and the wonderful Gift God gave us. But the Christmas spirit helps a lot --- you know, Christmas cheer and all.

I've tried everything --- egg nog, Christmas music, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, reading the Christmas story in the Bible, staring at all our decorations, wearing my special Christmas socks, even going to the mall to watch Santa freak people out and eat in the cafe under the Christmas lights.

Still, I'm getting nothing. Is something wrong with me? Am I the only one like this?

*sighs*

I guess it's a part of getting older. Which totally stinks.

But anyway, as a part of my attempt to start feeling Christmas-y, I'm going to do a Christmas quiz thing! Yay! It's kind of like a Top 10, but I'm doing Top 5. Because I'm lazy. (Not in any particular order)

Top 5 Christmas Movies

1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
2. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
3. Frosty the Snowman
4. Home Alone ;D
5. A Christmas Carol

Top 5 Christmas Songs (right now, because I have a bunch)

1. What Child is This (First Noel Prelude) by Francesca Battistelli
2. The Christmas Song by Francesca Battistelli
3. Heaven Everywhere by Francesca Battistelli
4. O Come O Come Emmanuel by (guess who) Francesca Battistelli (I really like her Christmas album, duh:)
5. Carol of the Bells

Top 5 LEAST Favorite Christmas Songs

1. Santa Baby (this time I'm really going in order.....BLECH!!!! she's seducing Santa >.<)
2. All I Want for Christmas is You (I thought this was so stupid. "I don't care about the presents underneath the tree"? Your boyfriend should be the one giving you presents. Though, this song is pretty catchy. It has a nice beat.)
3. Pretty much all Justin Bieber versions of Christmas music
4. The Christmas Song (now, this depends on the version. Francesca's version I like, because it's happy and upbeat, but all the other versions are so sad. I mean, come on, people.)
5. I'll Be Home for Christmas (SO SAD!)

Top 5 Favorite Christmas Traditions

1. Waking up and seeing Christmas lights in the hallway on Christmas morning
2. Throwing a party (for our family) when we set up the Christmas tree, all while eating chips, dip, and taking advantage of the infamous chocolate fountain
3. Reading the Christmas Story (did you know that Mary was thirteen or fourteen years old when she was pregnant with Jesus? Life expectancy wasn't that long back then) and 'Twas the Night before Christmas on Christmas Eve
4.  Decorating cookies and writing notes for Santa (ahem...scratch that. Dad.)
5. Visiting all the relatives on Christmas Day

Top 5 Favorite Christmas Accessories

1. My Santa socks
2. My fuzzy red and green socks
3. My jingle bell earrings
4. My penguin pajamas
5. My other Christmas pajamas that I can't think of right now

So. There you go. Top 5 Christmas stuff. Are you guys having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit? And what are your Top 5?
